Our mission is to become the bank that powers UK sports
Why we exist
Sporta is building a new kind of bank because the financial system was never designed for how sport actually works.
We’re creating the right infrastructure for success on and off the field, supporting sport at every level from local grassroots to national and international excellence - empowering the people who show up, take part, and care about the future of UK sport.
Where the system breaks
Sport is built on participation, dedication and community. But the financial tools supporting it are generic, inflexible and often inaccessible, especially at grassroots level.
We know clubs face:
- Unpredictable, seasonal income
- Rising costs and growing compliance burdens
- Limited access to fair insurance, funding and banking services
Too often clubs that are thriving on the pitch are struggling off it because the system around them doesn’t work.
Why sport matters
Sport is one of the UK’s most powerful social and economic engines. It keeps people healthy, connected and active — strengthening communities and wellbeing.

Our mission
To be the bank that powers UK sport.
Our goal is to become a fully licensed, AI-native bank designed around how sport really operates. We believe people who show up to train, to play, to volunteer, to support — deserve a financial system that shows up for them too.
It’s about empowering activeness and rewarding participation at every level. We’re in the process of applying for a UK banking license.
How we’re building it
Hyper-personalised, everyday banking that serves clubs, members, gym-goers, athletes, coaches, schools, retailers and fans.
We’re already working with partners to help clubs access better, more relevant financial support:
Get ahead of the game, join us
We’re at the beginning of this journey and inviting clubs, partners and supporters to help shape what comes next. If you believe sport deserves better financial infrastructure and that an active society is worth backing, we’d love you to hear from you.
